Christmas in our Hearts (A 2015 Photo Journal)

I am thankful for loved ones and friends who
have journeyed with me through times
of joy and times of difficulty...

for the gift of kindness, compassion
and inspiring conversations
from mentors such as Fr. Ted Gonzales SJ,
Fr. Ruben Tanseco, SJ,Fr. James Gascon SJ
and many others...

.
...of the times I was able to visit places I've
treasured in the deep recesses of my heart
such as the Walled City of Intramuros in Manila....

                 .

     ...for the times I was stucked in traffic and learned once more
        about patience while witnessing the fortitude of ordinary
        people waiting for jeepneys and vehicles to carry them home;

              ... and for those enjoyable times with colleagues and friends
                 and for the time I played the role of a kick-ass leader of
                 the Philippine revolution;

              ...for the opportunity to pass by old familiar places from
                 my childhood, such as Luneta where a giant flagpole a
                 and the "photobomber" building now hovers with every
                 photograph taken of the Rizal monument...

                    I am thankful for the opportunity to listen to lovely
                    Christmas songs free over Spotify and Youtube,
                    to sing these songs, such as my favorite Adeste
                    Fidelis. at the Christmas eve mass at the Church of the
                    Gesu, to laugh at the JEDI jokes of Fr. Jett Villarin, SJ
                    and reflect on the challenges he presented to ordinary
                    individuals carrying heavy loads in their life...

I am thankful to be able to pray and serve the Lord with all my heart:

Salamat, Panginoon sa pagtanglaw
sa aming daanan at sa lahat ng
mga pagkakataong ibinigay
Mo upang pagsilbihan Ka
at pagsibihan ang aming
kapawa.
