Amy Muga is a mother, a writer, a counselor and a committed advocate for social justice and human rights. She is a family counselor at the Ruben M. Tanseco Center for Family Ministries Inc. (RMT-CEFAM). She holds a master's degree in guidance and counseling from Miriam College (formerly Maryknoll College) and a Professional Diploma in Family Ministries from the Loyola School of Theology. She is taking up post-graduate studies at the University of the Philippines.
Nay Amy is passionate with her work as a counselor. She was a community counselor as well as coordinator of RMT-CEFAM's satellite center in the urban poor community of Payatas from 2010 to 2012. She has worked with various community-based organizations, faith-based groups and human rights organizations on capacity building and community-based programs.Together with other volunteers, she provides psychosocial intervention activities to communities affected by disasters and difficult circumstances.
